I am a licensed REALTOR working in Scottsdale, and I own and manage short term rentals across the Phoenix area. Buying and selling for clients is half the job. The other half is running my own properties, which has taught me things about this market that no sales training covers, including how a street behaves in August, what the summer does to occupancy, and which neighbourhoods hold value when the rest of the Valley slows down. Most of what I write about comes from that gap, which is the difference between how a property looks on paper and how it performs once somebody is living in it or paying to stay in it.
