I work as an interior designer in Ottawa, mainly on homes. That covers layouts, colour, lighting, furniture and finishes, and a fair amount of talking people out of things they saw online that will not suit the room they have. Ottawa shapes a lot of it. Long winters mean people spend months indoors under artificial light, and that changes what works on a wall and where the seating needs to go.
