I'm an interior designer at GHD Design in Canberra, where I've been working for just over three years now - first as a graduate and currently in a full design role. Before that I spent three and a half years doing property inspections at JLL, which gave me a practical understanding of how buildings actually perform day to day before I started designing them.
I studied Interior Architecture at the University of Canberra, graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor of the Built Environment. The combination of property inspection work and a design degree means I tend to think about interiors from both sides - what looks right and what actually works once people are living or working in the space.
My hobby is to write about bathrooms, kitchens, and home interiors based on what I see in practice rather than what looks good on a mood board. If I recommend something, it's because I've seen it hold up in a real project, not because it photographs well.
