Poppy Flower Full Length Curtain

9 ft is a lot of curtain. A lot of ready made curtains come at around 7 ft, so on a tall window or in a room with a high ceiling they hang a few inches above the floor and look like trousers that came out too short. These ones go the full length, and that is the main reason to buy them.

Crimson Poppy has big red poppies on a cream background, and they really are big, each flower is about the size of a dinner plate. The petals are not one flat red. The outer edges are bright red and the inside goes darker, almost maroon, and in the centre there is a black round middle with small dots around it, the way a real poppy looks. The stems are thin and grey, and the leaves are grey too, long and pointed, so the only colour on the whole curtain is the red. Across the top there is a plain slate grey band, and the steel eyelets sit in that band. With the sun behind it, the red poppies glow and the room gets a slightly warm colour.

Earthy Floral Block Print is much quieter. The background is beige with a little grey in it, and you can see the weave of the fabric, a bit like linen. On this there is one small flower repeated again and again in neat rows, each row shifted a little from the one above. Each flower is like a small bunch, a rust brown flower head with darker brown lines, a few leaves around it, and 2 small slate blue leaves at the bottom. Up close you see every little flower, but from the sofa the whole curtain looks like a plain textured fabric with small dots on it. This one goes well with wooden furniture and a cane chair or two.

The second print looks like old hand block printing, but both curtains are digitally printed, not hand block printed. Being digital, the red and the cream can come out a shade different between batches, so if you need 4 panels for 2 windows, order all 4 together.

The fabric is poly canvas at 230 GSM with a polyester lining behind it. It cuts the glare, it does not make the room dark. In a bedroom where you sleep late, the morning light will still come in.

The tieback comes in the same print, for when you want the curtain pulled back during the day.

Before ordering, measure from your rod to the floor. If it is close to 9 ft, the curtain will just touch the floor, which looks the best. If your rod is much lower, say 7 ft, then 2 ft of curtain will be lying on the floor. Some people like that look, but it collects dust, and you may end up getting the curtains shortened.
