Description

These window curtains are made from mesh fabric, and the design is really beautiful. It gives the room a feeling like you are sitting somewhere near a beach. There are 2 variations, which you can see in the images. One has a full tree design, while the other has a few more trees across the curtain.

Tropical Beach Horizon is like a holiday photo printed on the curtain. The top part is light blue sky with white puffy clouds, then the sea starts around the middle, light turquoise near the shore and going deeper blue further out, and on the right side there are blue mountains far away in the haze. At the bottom there is beige sand with a small wave coming in, the white foam lying on the sand like lace. Long green palm leaves hang down from the top corners of both panels, and on the left panel the leaf comes down almost to the sand. Close the 2 panels together and the picture joins into one beach. Pull them apart and you get your window in the middle with the beach on both sides, like looking out from a hotel room.

Muted Palm Tree Silhouette is the opposite, nothing bright about it. The background is off white, almost cream, with thin dark lines going straight down like the joints between wooden planks, and faint wood grain in between. On each panel there is one big palm tree in dusty blue and warm grey, and the colour looks scratched and worn, like paint coming off an old beach house wall. On one panel you mostly see the leaves spreading wide, on the other the trunk going down with the leaves on top. From a distance it looks more like a painting than a photo, and it will not fight with the rest of the room.

Both designs can be quite useful during the summer because they are made from thin fabric that does not block the airflow coming into your home. At the same time, they keep the room normally bright, so you can still have natural light without making the room too bright or uncomfortable.

So the fabric is really thin. Look at the photos and you can see the white window frame and the glass right through the print. With the sun behind them, the beach print looks the best, the sky and the sea light up like a phone screen.

At the top there is a sleeve stitched into the fabric. You slide the curtain rod through it, push the fabric along, and it gathers into soft folds by itself, the way it hangs in the photos. No rings, no hooks. The only thing is, the curtain does not slide open as easily as an eyelet curtain, you pull it by hand and it moves along the rod a little stiffly.

Each panel is about 7 ft long, which is why it reaches the floor from a rod fixed just above the window. If your rod sits much lower than 7 ft from the floor, the extra fabric will lie on the floor, so measure from the rod down before ordering.

Now, the other side of sheer fabric. In the day, from outside you cannot see much of the inside. At night it is the opposite, when the lights are on in the room and it is dark outside, people outside can see shapes moving through these curtains. For a living room that is fine. For a bedroom facing the street, hang a plain thicker curtain behind these on a second rod, or keep a blind.
