Hi! So happy you’re here. My name is Ana, and I write about home and family life from Canada, with a leaning toward Scandinavian farmhouse style, pale wood, simple lines, and rooms that are not trying too hard. Most of it comes out of being at home with my children all day, which is a good way to find out which design ideas hold up. Storage that no one uses gets noticed quickly. So does a surface that marks, a rug that shifts, a layout that forces everyone through the same doorway at eight in the morning. We are in the middle of building a house at the moment, shared as it happens, and that has turned a lot of vague preferences into fairly firm opinions about floor plans, finishes and what is worth spending money on.
